I have to say it… there is always one!

One that you are drawn to. Sometimes you can’t explain it. There is something about being on a rooftop with a pretty dress and lots of wind but this very first image is the one I’m drawn to most from my senior session with Alanna. To me, there is something about movement in an image. Movement of a dress and movement of her hair can really make a moment so carefree.

I watched the weather all week, the days leading up to the session and twice that day. Yet, I am driving downtown a little early for our session and guess what? It had started to rain. I called her Mom to make a game plan. We kept it short and sweet deciding that we were all in. Luckily, the weather held off for us so we were able to sneak just enough pictures to complete a quick 45 minute session.

It’s funny how Alanna tried to hold her hair in place and her dress, but I told her to just let it all go. Let the wind swirl around you and we got some pretty freaking amazing images for her senior gallery. So the next time the weather may be calling for a little bit of wind or rain, you just never know what to expect.

Beautiful Alanna. I have been dying to share these previews with you.

Alanna had a vision and I would have to say she nailed it. Sweet girl even though you are only on top of the parking garage you are going places and will be on top of the world soon enough. This girl knew her vision and knew what she wanted for her session. I’d say my first full rooftop session was a success!
